>For they loved the praise of men more than the praise of God. Jesus cried and said, He that believeth on me, believeth not on me, but on him that sent me. And if any man hear my words, and believe not, I judge him not: for I came not to judge the world, but to save the world. For I have not spoken of myself; but the Father which sent me, he gave me a commandment, what I should say, and what I should speak. And I know that his commandment is life everlasting: whatsoever I speak therefore, even as the Father said unto me, so I speak.
John 12:43,44,47,49,50 (KJV)
Father there is no other that I place before You, that I rely upon first, that I praise or worship, that I lean on, or that I talk to first but You. I hear Your voice directing me daily and You have given me the choice to listen and follow, or to ignore You and do my own thing. You sent Your son to us to save us from ourselves and from the “liar” who would have us to believe that we can be like You and have power and glory equal to Yours.
I know that forever You will reign over the world and beyond; that there is nothing good that has been created that was not created by You. Every device and application that has been created to help and save mankind and every creature on land, in water, or in the air, was created first by You and shared as a blessing to those who made it possible in the physical form.
We are Your perfect reflections attempting to regain our sense of self in You Father. We have stumbled, fallen, and now we struggle to reclaim who we are in, of, and through You. We have leaned more on man’s understanding than Your Word and Jesus’ teachings of Your Word; we have relied upon and imitated man more than You. We desire the things of the flesh more than we do of You. For those things Father I ask for forgiveness. I want to walk always in Your light. In Your name I pray for strength, faith, and dignity each and every day. Amen.
We must put our faith, understanding, and reliance upon God and not man. Man is flawed just as we are; the perfect example of where we ought to be is Jesus- who had evolved and transformed as God intended. Even in his last days when he cried out in a moment of fear and doubt, God comforted him with a still calm that let him know that all was well and would be dealt with the right way at the right time- that His plan was to be fulfilled- and with that Jesus leaned unto God’s understanding and thereby demonstrated life after human death, and that we all are spiritual beings working towards a life beyond this level of existence.
Jesus, unlike any other man or woman God directed to save us, was sent before birth- not chosen late in life- so from conception Jesus had an order and mission as the perfect example of God to save God’s children and to show them the way back ‘home’ to His loving presence.
We too must listen for God’s voice to comfort, protect, and guide us (and His angels that He sends to lead us along our paths)- and not worldly vices such as alcohol, sex, drugs (even prescription), idols, the media, clothing, and money. We must put our faith in something we cannot see but we know we can feel each and every day. Do you have that faith?
Can you turn to God to heal your pain? Or do you give in to the “liar’s” whispers that tell you that bottle of wine or liquor is your best solution to numb the pain? Do you turn to God when you are lonely, or do you hide your head in the bosom of the temptress/tempter who has seduced you and lured you into their bed?
We have choices. You just have to decide if you are following God or the “liar”.
I love you all. Have a safe and happy Valentine’s Day!
