Natasha’s Daily Scripture, Prayer and Reflection for 1.25.12

Since you trust in your deeds and riches, you too will be taken captive….

Jeremiah 48:7

Pray
Father I pray to remain focused; focused on You and focused on being fearless, trustworthy, honest, and loving. It is not my will but Yours that makes all things happen, for You grant me the freedom to make decisions, with the desire that I follow Your path not my own.

Father I understand that by claiming my success as a product of my own doing, that I am dishonoring You and actually positioning myself for potential failure. I understand that chasing money instead of patiently waiting for Your favor to bring me financial wealth, sets me up for failure and a lack of internal or external wealth. I want my full trust in You, not me or someone else. I want my trust in You to express my understanding that all genuine gifts and blessings can only come from You, and anything else I rebuke. Lovingly I pray for Your continued molding. Amen.

Reflection
Trust in God not humans to love you unconditionally, make a way out of no way, to reveal the truth, to bless you, and to make you a better person. When you focus on “me, myself, and I” and on getting or staying “rich”, then you are actually spiritually bankrupt and risk becoming financially bankrupt.

Trust God to reveal the truth about yourself and about others, you don’t need to dig or pry, you just need to ask Him. When the truth is revealed you have to choose whether to follow Him to freedom, joy and peace, or choose your own path. Ask God to mold the best of you to the surface so that you can best reflect Him in your daily walk. Ask God to press out and do away with the things about you that aren’t a representation of His goodness. Ask God to bring only good to you and bring out only the good in you.

Love your sister in Christ,
