Natasha’s Daily Scripture, Prayer and Reflection for 1.26.12

Deceit is in the hearts of those who plot evil, but those who promote peace have joy.

Proverbs 12:20

Pray
Father thank You for another day of life here on Earth. Thank You for the abundance of blessings, those I see and acknowledge, and those that I’m too naive to note.

Father I pray that You continue to touch my heart, to mold me, and to breathe patience, love, purity, and joy into me.

For those who would deceive or harm me, let me not stoop to their level, instead let me always raise my head above their dark clouds and step over their pit of drama. Whomever near or far who has evil thoughts against me, disdain for me, or a lack of respect for me, please touch their hearts Father. And touch mine also so that I do not focus and place attention on the qualities they lack, or what they are doing, have done, or could do to me—but rather let me see them as You do–as one of Your children.

Let me seek You in all times, that I might choose to always  walk in peace and not discord. There will always be moments in life that I am tested, tried, and pushed–but in those times please fill my heart with the light of forgiveness so that I do not carry someone else’s burden and make them my own.

In Jesus, the wayshower’s name, I pray to You. Amen.

Reflection
Focus on having a pure heart and mind, and not on what others are doing or not doing. While you pass judgment you leave yourself open and vulnerable to fall into their same pit of despair. Instead by protecting your heart and mind from negativity, evil, and darkness you can then pour an abundance of love on others, even your real or perceived enemies. Let your joy cast out their pain.

Yes, it is difficult. If it were easy we would all be doing it and there would be no adultery, incest, addiction, murders, rape, abuse, assault, or wars. You have to work each day to be a better person, a better child and ambassador of our heavenly Father Mother.

Be the example you want to see in others and in the world.

Don’t lie or cheat because you were lied and cheated on. Don’t be abusive because someone abused you. Don’t steal because you feel robbed and empty. God knows who is faithful, loyal, trusting and trustworthy, loving, and honorable. He also knows who isn’t.

There is NOTHING He doesn’t know, see, or hear.

Look inside yourself and then pray that the same qualities Jesus possesses are molded into your very essence, so that you can walk through each day more like him.

Lovingly,

Natasha
