Natasha’s Daily Scripture, Prayer, and Reflection for 12.26.12

“For God loved the world in this way: He gave His One and Only Son, so that everyone who believes in Him will not perish but have eternal life. For God did not send His Son into the world that He might condemn the world, but that the world might be saved through Him. Anyone who believes in Him is not condemned, but anyone who does not believe is already condemned, because he has not believed in the name of the One and Only Son of God.

John 3:16-18 HCSB

Pray
Father I pray for my salvation and that my fellow brothers and sisters throughout the world are saved by Your loving grace. I pray that through Christ their eyes are opened to Your reality, and that they pray and worship only to You. I yearn to walk beside Jesus and each day become braver, stronger, and wiser through his guidance.

Father I pray that my sins and offenses are forgiven for You know my heart and intentions. You also know the wishes of my heart, and I humbly pray that You bless me with those things I yearn for, in all their perfection, that they might continue to bless me and others for more than a lifetime. In Jesus’ name I pray to You Heavenly Father. Amen.

Reflection
God knows what’s in our hearts. He knows our intentions, pure and impure. God sent Jesus to be the wayshower and redeemer yet the masses could not accept the Truth, much like current day nonbelievers.

What more do you need to happen in your life to fully believe and commit to our Father and His son?

We have had an extremely long test drive. Either we’re buying it or not, either we believe the ratings and reviews, or we don’t. Sorry for the car analogy but many of us treat God and Jesus like we’re taking them out on a test drive, and they have to pass certain tests and meet certain conditions to gain approval. We have this relationship twisted. We’re supposed to gain their approval.

Either believe or don’t, don’t swing the fence of conditional belief—where one day you’re totally invested and then another day you’re thinking you’re in this alone and no one, and nothing can help you.

Think about it.

Love always,

Natasha
