Natasha’s Daily Scripture, Prayer, and Reflection for 12.27.12

…may there be peace within your walls, prosperity within your fortresses.”

Psalms 122:7 HCSB

Pray
Father I pray for peace within my community and home, peace within my relationships, and peace within myself. I pray to be whole and complete as You made me. I pray to always hear Your voice and the voice of Jesus. May my eyes, head, and heart always be aligned to follow the correct path. Amen.

Reflection
Earlier today I read a prayer and reflection sent to me by my friend that was written by Joel and Victoria Osteen, where they shared Isaiah 9:6, and reflected on the definition and concept of “peace”. They looked up the word and saw that it means to “set at one again”, and amazingly that’s exactly what God does for us.

Joel and Victoria wrote that when we are properly aligned with God and Jesus we will experience God’s peace in our lives. I have shared this same conviction before, but it is always helpful to reinforce this thinking and belief.

Any time we feel uneasy, frustrated, and lacking internal peace, we need to stop and pray to make sure we’re where God wants us to be. God doesn’t live in chaos and conflict, He is never confused or bewildered.

Since God only wants the best for us we should always remember that when we’re aligned with Him and don’t feel right about something, that it should serve as an indicator that we’re going the wrong way.

God is absoluteness, never contemplative, so when we’re torn then we should immediately see that something is wrong. That’s when we need to stop in our tracks and pray for clarity, discernment, and peace.

I pray for your peace within every aspect of your life. I pray that we can all live with peace.

Love always,

Natasha
