Natasha’s Daily Scripture, Prayer, and Reflection for 6.28.13

Why am I so depressed? Why this turmoil within me? Put your hope in God, for I will still praise Him, my Savior and my God.

Psalms 42:11 HCSB

Pray
Father I pray that the moments that I feel the walls coming in too close, that I reach out for You. I pray that even in darkness, that I see Your light, smile, and praise Your holy name. I pray that when there doesn’t seem to be a solution, that I believe enough in Your power to solve the problem and show me the way through. Right now, everything that is weighing on me, I pray that You will handle them and show me what to do. I know that You never place on me more than I can handle. Thank You Father. Thank You Father. Thank You Father. Thank You!

Father I pray for my loved ones who struggle with the belief of depression. I pray for those I don’t even know, who also struggle with the belief of depression.

Touch the hearts of those who are so saddened and fearful, that they don’t have enough trust and faith in You to take care of them. Father touch the hearts of those who see more darkness than light, and those whose hope slips slowly away.

Help them to see Your light even in the smallest of areas. Help them to hear and discern Your voice. Help them to see and recognize Your guardian angels who point the way. Lift them up Father to know and trust You. Lift them up to feel Your weight supporting them, so that they can release their fears into Your capable Hands. Help them to say, “Thank You Father for taking care of this for me.” In Jesus’ name I pray. Amen.

Reflection
Stop this very moment and say, “Thank You Father for taking care of every issue that is presented.” For those of you who are suffering from the belief of depression, I want you to recite with intensity—as though your life depends upon it—the first paragraph of today’s prayer:

Father I pray that the moments that I feel the walls coming in too close, that I reach out for You. I pray that even in darkness, that I see Your light, smile, and praise Your holy name. I pray that when there doesn’t seem to be a solution, that I believe enough in Your power to solve the problem and show me the way through. Right now, everything that is weighing on me, I pray that You will handle them and show me what to do. I know that You never place on me more than I can handle. Thank You Father. Thank You Father. Thank You Father. Thank You!

Now you must believe it to see it and receive it.

Love,

Natasha
