Commit your activities to the Lord, and your plans will be achieved.
Proverbs 16:3 HCSB
Father whatever I have placed above You, please rearrange to its rightful place. Father help me to remain focused on those activities that You see fit for me. Help me to be committed to seeing things through to the finish line—finishing what I start. Help me to never feel deflated for not achieving goals by my deadline, instead realizing that all things will be achieved by the date and moment determined by You. Help me to be more patient, calm, and relaxed even during the most turbulent of storms. I pray to You in Jesus’ name. Amen.
First let me start off by apologizing for my inconsistent posts last week, and failing to post this weekend. There really are no acceptable reasons, only weak excuses. I apologize. Now if you accept my apology, let’s move forward together into today’s reflection:
Our desire to reach a goal quickly oftentimes blinds our vision and thinking, and our perception of Who makes the attainment possible. There is nothing in the world that we achieve alone. God is our Provider. God provides the tools, resources, means, and way for us to have everything that we have, and everything that we still desire.
If we place what we desire above God, if we place access to resources above God, if we place others above God, if we narcissistically place ourselves above God, then our progress will be slow and painful.
The desire to win must never come before our desire to please and serve God.
Questions of the Day
1. Are you struggling with a goal, task, project, etc and you are frustrated with the delays, setbacks, and failures?
2. In what ways can you get out of the way and allow God to handle your situation(s)?

Please also feel free to share this post with others. We’re never quite sure who needs to hear and see what, and when! It would be awesome if whenever you run across a prayer, message, or scripture that moves you, you would kindly share it with the rest of us. You can post it on this blog or send me an email.
Today is Monday, let’s enjoy it like it’s Friday, but work like it’s Tuesday—remember, God doesn’t reward slackers!
