Natasha’s Daily Scripture, Prayer, and Reflection for 8.20.15

And whatever you do, whether in word or deed, do it all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through Him.

Colossians 3:17 NIV

If I do and say all things in Jesus’ name then I would put greater thought in my words and deeds. Touch my heart Father to do exactly that, and walking the walk, I can be more like Jesus as I give thanks to You. Amen.

I could be wrong, but I think we would use considerably less profanity, do less vulgar things, be less cruel and disrespectful, and live a more loving life, if we did and said everything in the name of Jesus Christ and giving thanks to God through Jesus.

I know that when I’m around my grandmothers, in church, and around children and senior citizens, I am extremely careful and considerate of what I do and say. Imagine how reserved I would be if I did and said everything in the name of Jesus. Wowsers!

Recite these words until they are yours:

“I WILL seek to devote the best of myself to the primary roles God has entrusted to me” (Source: DaySpring)
