Don’t be selfish; don’t try to impress others. Be humble, thinking of others as better than yourselves. Don’t look out only for your own interests, but take an interest in others, too.

Work on me so that I focus less on the superficial, and more on the eternal; more on what counts and less on the things that you care less about. Thank You for this molding process Father. Thank You for loving me. Amen.
This can be a biggie for some people. The first two statements are two of the biggest flaws that we spend a lifetime trying to overcome—selfishness and our fixation on impressing others. This requires looking at life knowing that it’s not about you and only about Him.
How truthfully can you say these words, believe and then live them?
