“A person’s pride will humble him, but a humble spirit will gain honor.”
Proverbs 29:23 HCSB
May I never forget who I am and to Whom I belong; and may this reminder always keep me focused on carrying myself accordingly both in public and in private—never too good or too far removed for whatever is placed before me. In Jesus’ name. Amen.
Whether you live authentically as a humble person, or you’re forced into this reality, due to your arrogance, pride, or greed—one way or the other, difficult or without question—you will be there. It’s better to be of a humble spirit and have honor, than a prideful spirit left to scrape one’s self off the ground. Your pride will leave you empty always wanting more. As a humble person you will want for nothing.
