Breaking Bread for 11.15.19

Scripture

What good is it, my brothers and sisters, if someone claims to have faith but has no deeds? Can such faith save them? Suppose a brother or a sister is without clothes and daily food. If one of you says to them, “Go in peace; keep warm and well fed,” but does nothing about their physical needs, what good is it? In the same way, faith by itself, if it is not accompanied by action, is dead.

James 2:14-17 NIV

Reflection

I’m breathing through it and so can you. Just breathe and let the molding happen naturally, and if you truly believe then take that step—even though you don’t know where it leads. Do you believe?

You also must step outside of your comfort zone when it comes to helping the least of these God’s children. Good wishes is kind, philanthropy is great, but rolling up your sleeves and getting your hands dirty is better. Don’t give passively, put some energy and sweat behind it.

Prayer

Father, this can’t just be me thinking or speaking of faith; through my actions I must prove it. I know that you’re molding me Father. I feel it and see it.
I will work and do my part. I will also proactively do my part on the ground to help the least of your children. Giving You all of the glory, in Jesus’ name. Amen.

Love,

Natasha
