Restore us, O Lord, and bring us back to you again! Give us back the joys we once had!
Whatever you were doing in 2019 that wasn’t part of God’s plan for you, stop. If it wasn’t Christlike, wasn’t advancing God’s Kingdom— stop—and don’t consider bringing it into 2020.
If you are involved with someone that you know you’re not supposed to be with, lovingly end the relationship. If you have questions about their place in your life and if it’s appropriate, or if they are adding value or not—ask God. If He tells you that your time with that person needs to come to an end, obey, and lovingly walk away.
Do not enter the new year with old garbage and baggage.
Surrender and leave the lies, deceit, mediocrity, laziness, vanity, arrogance, self-centeredness, fear, hate, pride, guilt, and shame behind you at last year’s curb.
Walk towards our heavenly Father and away from sin. Declare 2020 a drama-free year and make the effort each day to live as Jesus would expect of you—and not as the enemy wishes for you.
Lean toward restoration not instant gratification.
Father, thank You for this day. A new day. It is a new year. With this comes a time of renewal and restoration. Father, let me see what I need to see and let me experience all that I’m supposed to so that I can be right with You.
If that means removing certain people from my life who are not good to me and for me— please do so. If that means changing my circumstances, then I embrace this healthy change. I do not want to be in the same place I was in during 2019 in this new year of 2020. I want to walk in health, with clarity and discernment, as Your obedient creation.
Lord, whatever needs to be done I put my faith in You to handle it swiftly and appropriately. I want a life that is joyful, righteous, and as You planned. I honor Your holy name Father. Amen.
Love you all and Happy New Year,
