Breaking Bread for 1.6.20

Hello Breaking Bread family! Before we jump into today’s message, I want to give a shout out. Happy birthday to my aunt Debborah. I love you Debbie!!!!

“Many people profess their loyalty, but a faithful person – who can find?”

Proverbs 20:6

To require loyalty and faithfulness in others requires the same in return. If you are not loyal and faithful then how can you expect it from others?

God is and has always been faithful and loyal to us, even though we teeter totter from being faithful and doubtful on a consistent basis. We can’t ask from man what we can’t give to God. Heck, we can’t even be faithful and loyal to ourselves. We lack the discipline and stickability to achieve goals, create healthy habits, and be greater.

Let us give of ourselves to our heavenly Father that we might reap the blessings. May one of those blessings be loyal and faithful friends and family.

Father, I pray for internal peace, for clarity, and for strength to endure. I pray that in my increasing faithfulness there will be resolve of issues that I encounter, as well as those still lingering. I pray that in my faithfulness only the faithful will remain beside me.

Help me to discern truth from fiction. I don’t want to be misled. I don’t want to be distracted. I need to be focused on You and what You have called on me to do. I know that the enemy thrives on chaos and confusion. Anything and anyone not aligned with what You have planned for me, I ask that You lovingly realign, redirect, readjust them.

You are my Father. Your son is my shepherd and I loyally will follow as your sheep. Humbly I submit myself to you. Amen.
