When all the Israelites saw the fire come down and the Lord’s splendor over the temple, they got on their knees with their faces downward toward the pavement. They worshiped and gave thanks to the Lord, saying, “Certainly he is good; certainly his loyal love endures!”
We shouldn’t be waiting for something grandiose from God for us to see, accept, and proclaim His presence and loyalty to us. Every millisecond of the day God is demonstrating His love and grace.
Everyday He is balancing life as we know it. Everyday He is removing obstacles, healing us, and showing us the way. Everyday He presents us with opportunities to prove our love and loyalty to Him.
We need to stop treating God as though He is merely one of us. Start treating Him as the omnipotent supreme Father of all, who has no limitations and doesn’t require food, drink, shelter, clothing and at least 6 hours of sleep to survive.
We need Him to shine and thrive. He doesn’t need us to do what He created us to do. Think about that.
Father, I want my mind and heart to rest with You at all times. I don’t need to see large displays of Your presence, greatness, and loyalty. Everyday that I wake and open my eyes, take a breath, and get out of bed is proof enough that You are here with me— and loyal.
I want to strengthen my devotion to You Father. I want to remove any and all doubt that You can’t or won’t resolve my issues, answer my prayers, or fulfill my needs.
