Breaking Bread for 1.31.20

Scripture

Husbands, love your wives, just as Christ loved the church and gave himself up for her.

Ephesians 5:25

Reflection

Imagine how life would be, how our world would be if men and women truly loved each other with the purpose, passion, devotion, honesty, conviction, and commitment— as Jesus loves us.

Think of a world without infidelity, abuse, dishonesty, violence, and cruelty. That would be a world that really represented God’s Kingdom.

In what ways would our personal lives change if we made an effort to be honest, faithful, committed, loving, and caring? Think about it and then share your thoughts.

Enjoy your last day of January! Let’s get ready for February!!!

Prayer

Father, thank You for the love You share with me. That love overflows into the lives of people that I love, and those that I grow to love increasingly. Father, let me love as deep and with as strong a commitment as Your son Jesus loves. Let me see the world as You intend, and let me approach life as You command. In Your name I pray for courage, as I take my next step towards being more like Jesus. Amen.

Love,

Natasha
