Breaking Bread for 3.23.20

Let your character [your moral essence, your inner nature] be free from the love of money [shun greed—be financially ethical], being content with what you have; for He has said, “I will never [under any circumstances] desert you [nor give you up nor leave you without support, nor will I in any degree leave you helpless], nor will I forsake or let you down or relax My hold on you [assuredly not]!”

So we take comfort and are encouraged and confidently say, “The Lord is my Helper [in time of need], I will not be afraid. What will man do to me ?”

Hebrews 13:5‭-‬6 AMP

Things may come your way, especially during the times when you feel like you can’t handle one more issue— but trust and know that God is there for you, guiding and protecting you, and showing you the way through paths of fear, lies, despair, heartache, turmoil, and inconvenience.

If the words in today’s prayer, shared below, don’t resemble your current state of mind, or spiritual alignment with God, say them anyway. Speak these words slowly and repeatedly until they resonate in you, until you feel a shift in your energy, until there is a “spark” within you, until you can visualize yourself as I’ve described in the prayer.

Father God, thank You for bringing me back to that place of peace and clarity. Thank You for never failing, and never letting me down. I will not be discouraged by what I see or don’t see. I will go where you say go and follow as You lead.

I know You’re my helper and You will make my crooked places straight. I know that the strength of the wicked is being cut off and the strength of the righteous will endure. I know that the enemy is always plotting, scheming, and attacking. I pray for the courage, strength, and resolve to remain aligned and obedient to You. In Jesus’ name I pray to and praise You. Amen.
