Breaking Bread For 3.26.20

Scripture

For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith—and this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of God— not by works, so that no one can boast.

Ephesians 2:8-9

Reflection

Every item of clothing, every award, every paycheck, every commission, every piece of furniture, every car, appliance and accessory—was not earned by us—but rather given to us by God.

He equips us with the knowledge and wisdom to do our small part. Being equipped is a blessing from Him. The pulling of strings to make things happen on our behalf is also done by God.

The child you birthed or adopted is God’s gift to you. The positive change in your health and medical history, is His loving grace. The accident you avoided, the one that left you uninjured, or the one you recovered from—all are instances of God’s grace. The deal you closed or the promotion you received, were triggered by God. Getting out of debt, purchasing your car or home—that’s God. The ability to love and be loved—yep, that’s all because of God.

It is His grace not our actions or talents that bless us. Remember that and thank Him!

Prayer

Father, thank You for this day, days past, and for every day that my future holds. Thank You for the gifts You have granted me, and for the blessings that only You can provide. I understand that it is not my doing but Yours, through grace, that I possess and have experienced all that I have.

Each day I work to pull away my layers of fear, anger, bitterness, and pain so that I might replace them with layers of faith in You Lord. I’m grateful for Your patience. I’m grateful for each molding lesson that You are teaching me. Show me the way Father. To You I give all glory forever. Amen.

Love,

Natasha

Thank you Father for everything! Thank you for sharing this one Tasha. I really needed this scripture and reminder of who everything belongs to and who is sovereign, our Father who is Almighty and Above All. He is Amazing! I love you!
